Painting
Trompe-l'œil, "trick the eye", is an art technique involving extremely realistic imagery in order to create the optical illusion that the depicted objects appear in three-dimensions, instead of actually being a two-dimensional painting.

I use trompe l’oeil as a playful means to share my perceptions of reality with my viewers. Where modernism refuted the use of the canvas as a window and insisted upon its use as an object, I use the canvas as a window to show the canvas as an object. My paintings reflect the idea of modern art, but they are done using traditional methods.
